Reason(s) I absolutely love my husband…
I know that I’ll never have to worry that he made a decision because everyone else thought it was a good idea.
He doesn’t let anyone else think for him, he has a mind of his own, and certainly has opinions of his own.
He does research, he asks questions, he never does anything because everyone else does.
He challenges the status quo and looks for explanations as to why the norm would ever be the best way to do anything.
He, of course, looks at things in light of the Gospel, and calls me out when I’m living in a way that’s opposite of who I claim to be.
There are so many fantastic examples of how he lives life in this wonderful and inspiring way.
We’ve already had so many conversations about responses that we have to some of the “big questions” you have to face when you decide it’s time to have kids.
Will we vaccinate? Birth in a hospital, at home, or in a birthing center? Strollers? Pacifiers? Breast feeding? For how long? Homeschooling, private school, or public school? What’s most important in where we want to live when we start a family? How to discipline? More importantly, how to nurture patience?
He’s fantastic, and I am ever thankful that he’s the one with whom I get to share my life.
I am so grateful for a husband who never, ever just goes with the flow.
