Guest Blogger: Bachelorette Party

As “Matron of Honor”, (I prefer “Best Lady”) one of my duties was to throw a Bachelorette Party. Having never met most of Lee Anne’s friends, and not being familiar with the Orlando area, this was a bit daunting. So, Facebook to the rescue! I got in touch with Lee Anne’s friends and got a lot of awesome feedback. Before I knew it, I had a plan 🙂 We thought we’d start out somewhere low key to visit with each other and exchange gifts. Aroma, a favorite wine bar of Lee Anne’s, was our first choice, but they weren’t awesome enough to be open, so we headed over to Eola Wine Co. Here, Lee Anne donned her ‘Bachelorette’ tiara and sash.

After sipping wine, eating cheese, nibbling bruchetta…and of course, opening gifts (which will not be mentioned here specifically, heehee), we bounced around a few places until we found the vibe we were looking for…and of course we found one with a photobooth… a couple of highlights were Urban Flats and later Club 23, for dancing.

By the end of the night, I believe every guy in Orlando had wished Lee Anne a “Happy Birthday”. Mind you, ‘bachelorette’ and ‘birthday’ both start with ‘b’s, I would like to point out that ‘Happy Birthday’ does NOT. For whatever reason, we were amused with the barrage of birthday wishes. (I only recall one fellow taking the time to read it before he spoke.)

Overall, the Bachelorette Party was a huge success! I love ya, sis!

While I ‘have the floor’, let me give a shout out to the best wedding party ever! Caryn, Ashley, Dana, Lindsey, Jesse, Peter, James, BJ, Drew. It was a pleasure meeting you all. Can’t forget Sherri, Sheena and David. Thanks for making it wonderful 🙂
